What MAIT Does

MAIT is a Chrome extension that helps you capture and track action items from Google Meet calls. It detects when you leave a meeting and prompts you to log commitments made during the call.

Data We Collect

None. MAIT does not collect, transmit, or store any of your data on external servers. All data — meeting names, action items, and settings — is stored locally on your device using Chrome’s built-in storage API.

AI Transcript Feature

MAIT includes an optional feature that lets you paste a meeting transcript and extract action items using AI. When you use this feature:

• Your transcript text is sent directly from your browser to Anthropic’s API (api.anthropic.com) for processing.
• This only happens when you explicitly click the “Extract Action Items” button.
• Your API key is stored locally on your device and is only used to authenticate with Anthropic.
• MAIT never sees, stores, or proxies your transcript. The request goes directly from your browser to Anthropic.
• Anthropic’s use of this data is governed by Anthropic’s Privacy Policy.

Permissions

• Storage — to save your action items and settings locally.
• Active Tab — to detect when you are on a Google Meet page.
• Host permission (meet.google.com) — to run the meeting detection script on Google Meet pages only.

Third-Party Services

The only third-party service MAIT communicates with is Anthropic’s API, and only when you explicitly use the AI transcript extraction feature with your own API key. No other external services are contacted.

Analytics and Tracking

MAIT does not include any analytics, telemetry, or tracking of any kind.

Data Deletion

All your data is stored locally. You can delete it at any time from the extension’s Settings page using the “Clear All Data” button, or by uninstalling the extension.

Changes to This Policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this URL. Material changes will be noted in the extension’s changelog.
